Calico has been calling to me ever since my art residency at John C Campbell Folk School in the spring of 2022. I started collecting odd bits of calico then, and I love how the prints play off of each other so nicely. All those small touches of color really do pack a magic. I made this calico cutie sitting on the couch one morning, drinking coffee, and slowly starting the day.
